Eritrean cyclist Mehari Tesfatshion wins second stage of Tour de Setif

Mehari Tesfatsion, member of the Eritrean National Cycling Team currently participating in Grand Tour of Algeria 2015, has won the second stage of Tour de Setif.

Asmara, 18 March 2015 – Mehari Tesfatsion, member of the Eritrean National Cycling Team currently participating in Grand Tour of Algeria 2015, has won the second stage of Tour de Setif. He finished the 112.5 Km-long race by 2:35:52 ahead of fellow Eritrean cyclist Amanuel Gerezgiher.

Algerian Nabil Baz, winner of Monday’s first stage, kept the yellow jersey as leader and red jersey as the best sprinter, while the polka dot jersey of best climber returned to Eritrean Amanuel Gerezgiher.

The third stage of Tour de Setif is scheduled for today covering over 115 Kilometers.
