Southern region: Call made for promoting environmental hygiene

Mr. Mohammed Mohammed-Saleh, head of environmental hygiene unit in the Southern region, has called on the inhabitants to exert more endeavors to promote health wellbeing through carrying out sensitization campaign.

 

Mendefera, 24 March 2015 – Mr. Mohammed Mohammed-Saleh, head of environmental hygiene unit in the Southern region, has called on the inhabitants to exert more endeavors to promote health wellbeing through carrying out sensitization campaign. He made the call in connection with the inauguration ceremony of soak-pit latrines in 6 villages in Mendefera sub-zone.

Stating that community health wellbeing is vital in the realization of development goals, Mr. Abraham Hagos, Administrator of the sub-zone, noted the significance of such facilities and called on the village communities to ensure its sustainability.

The task was accomplished in the villages of Adi-Kidabet, Abiy-Adi, Damba, Gomero, Adi-Shimadi and Adi-Itai.
