The Chairman of the National Union of Eritrean Youths and Students, Mr. Saleh Ahmedin, called on the public in general and Administrators, teachers and parents in particular to exert joint effort towards nurturing youths endowed with virtuous qualities.
Asmat, 25 March 2015 – The Chairman of the National Union of Eritrean Youths and Students, Mr. Saleh Ahmedin, called on the public in general and Administrators, teachers and parents in particular to exert joint effort towards nurturing youths endowed with virtuous qualities. He made the call in connection with Youths and Students Week conducted in Halhal, Asmat, Sel’a and Kerkebet sub-zones respectively from 18 to 21 March.
The NUEYS Chairman went to state that the Government is making substantial investment with a view to equipping youths with the necessary knowledge and knowhow, in addition to nurturing them with the nation’s cultural values. Mr. Saleh also pointed out that endeavors would be made to put in place Youth Centers in the sub-zones.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Amete Niguse, PFDJ Secretary in Anseba region, explained that the People’s Front has been and continues to give priority attention to youth issues, and that the youth are demonstrating higher dedication and steadfastness in State affairs. Moreover, she asserted the readiness of the PFDJ regional office to support endeavors to this end.
The participants of the event noted its vitality as regards stepped-up participation in development programs and acquainting them with the history of the country. Besides they called for organizing tours to development programs underway and historic sites.
According to reports, sports activities and cultural performances featured in the respective sub-zones in connection with the Youth and Students Week.
