Education Minister holds seminar for EIT students

Mr. Semere Russom, Minister of Education,  has held a seminar for students of the Eritrean Institute of Technology (EIT) on the objective situation in the country regarding education in connection with the ongoing 6th Festival of Higher Education Institutions.

 

Asmara, 25 March 2015 – Mr. Semere Russom, Minister of Education,  has held a seminar for students of the Eritrean Institute of Technology (EIT) on the objective situation in the country regarding education in connection with the ongoing 6th Festival of Higher Education Institutions.

The Minister opened an exhibition organized by the Institution and gave briefings focusing on the prevailing education system and its prospects, as well as Government’s education policy. He also gave replies to questions raised by participants.

Meanwhile, Prof. Abraham Kidane, Economic Advisor of the Government, conducted seminar for students of Halhale College of Business and Economics as regards the pace of the nation’s economic drive. Likewise, Mr. Alemseged Tesfai, writer and history researcher, held a seminar for students of Adi-Keih College of Arts and Social Science pertaining to the importance of Social Science in social development.

Sports competitions and cultural contents among students in the Colleges of Marine Science, Agriculture, Arts and Social Science, Business and Economics, and Eritrean Institute of Technology were conducted in connection with the 6th Festival. Moreover, the concluding phase is scheduled to take place from 26 to 29 March at Asmara College of Health Science.
