Residents of Serha semi-urban center and members of the People’s Army engage in soil and water conservation undertakings
The residents of Serha semi-urban center, Senafe sub-zone, in collaboration with members of the People’s Army, are engaging in soil and water conservation undertakings aimed at raising farm output.
Senafe, 25 March 2015 – The residents of Serha semi-urban center, Senafe sub-zone, in collaboration with members of the People’s Army, are engaging in soil and water conservation undertakings aimed at raising farm output. The participants are carrying out construction of terraces, water diversion canals and renovation, as well as clearing of water ponds.
Mr. Tinsu’e Gebremichael, village Administrative committee head, stated that public awareness pertaining to conservation of soil and water is gaining momentum, and that they would pursue the task till the onset of rainy season. Members of the People’s Army noted on their part that such active community participation attests to the prevailing work culture.
Meanwhile, similar imitative is being carried out in 22 Administrative areas of Senafe sub-zone.
