Eritrean National Commission for Higher Education secures electronic readers

The Eritrean National Commission for Higher Education has secured a total of 250 electronic readers from Eritrean citizens residing in various countries.

 

Asmara, 27 March 2015 – The Eritrean National Commission for Higher Education has secured a total of 250 electronic readers from Eritrean citizens residing in various countries.
Speaking at the handing occasion today in the premises of Asmara University, Prof. Tadese Mehari, Executive Director of the Eritrean National Commission for Higher Education, explained that the nationals have been taking such initiative for the third time and that the facility is channeled to all higher education institutions, thus making significant contribution.

He also expressed appreciation for nationals who made input to this end.

The Eritrean citizens who handed the donated items stated that the initiative is aimed at backing the substantial government investment to develop the education sector.

Mr. Mihretab Medhanie, a representative of Rora Association engaged in the collection of such items in the UK, noted the significance of electronic readers towards reinforcing educational activities and supporting students. He further called on beneficiaries to make good use of the facility.

Prof. Tadese handed certificates of appreciation to the representatives.
