14th National Book Fair concludes

The 14th National Book Fair that commenced on 20 March under the theme “Book Clubs: Gateway of Bright Future” concluded on 20 March.

Asmara, 30 March 2015- The 14th National Book Fair that commenced on 20 March under the theme “Book Clubs: Gateway of Bright Future” concluded on 20 March.

The annual Book Fair in which around 140 publishers took part, featured display of new and existing books and other publications, seminars, students’ activities, exchange of experiences as well as sales of books with 30% cost reduction.

The participants explained that the Fair has significant contribution in reinforcing the teaching-learning process besides nurturing the culture of reading, and called for its sustainability.

The Book Fair that remained open for ten days was observed by about 60,000 visitors.

Reports indicate that the Fair would be held in the cities of Barantu, Keren, Massawa, Mendefera and Assab from 3 to 5 April.
