At an assessment meeting of the Education Ministry’s branch in Anseba region, students have been called upon to make good use of the educational facilities being put in place through substantial investment.
Keren, 01 April 2015 – At an assessment meeting of the Education Ministry’s branch in Anseba region, students have been called upon to make good use of the educational facilities being put in place through substantial investment.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Hagos Adhana, head of the branch office, stated that over 24 new schools were opened during the pertinent scholastic year across the region, thus giving rise to student enrolment in general and that of females in particular. He also stated that over 90% of nationals in the region have become beneficiaries of educational service.
Likewise, Mr. Petros Hailemariam, Director General of Human Resource Development in the Education Ministry, explained that education is gaining momentum in the region. He further stressed the need for active participation on the part of the community to attain the set objectives.
According to reports, there exist over 250 schools in Anseba region which provided service in the Tigrigna, Tigre, Blein, Afar, Bidhawyet and Arabic languages.
