Asmara, 03 April 2015 – A seminar has been organized for about 400 candidate teachers who are members of the 26th round National Service at Asmara Community College regarding the strengthening of female role and participation.
Speaking at the seminar, Maj. Ti’ebe Kindiya, head of political and organizational affairs of the NUEW branch in the Central region, stated that the Government has been exerting relentless effort towards ensuring women’s rights and raise their all-round participation. She called on females to demonstrate higher academic competence.
Maj. Ti’ebe further explained that Eritrean women have played active role during the armed struggle for independence and safeguarding the nation’s dignity. She also called on them to enhance role in the nation-building process.
80% of the candidate teachers in the College are females.
