NUEW branch in Southern region holds meeting pertaining to outcome of 7th Congress

The National Union of Eritrean Women’s branch in the Southern region held a meeting with members in Adiquala sub-zone regarding the outcome of the 7th Congress of the Union.

Adiquala, 6 April 2015 – The National Union of Eritrean Women’s branch in the Southern region held a meeting with members in Adiquala sub-zone regarding the outcome of the 7th Congress of the Union.

Ms. Aberash Habtai, head of the branch office, stated that the NUEW has adopted resolutions to reinforce capacity through making effective assessment of accomplishments registered over the past 10 years.

She also explained that it is exerting persistent effort as regards the avoidance of underage marriage through active cooperation with partners. Vigorous endeavors would be made to improve women’s livelihood and raise their awareness, she added.

The participants of the meeting stressed the need for organizing promotional activities targeting young members and training courses aimed at upgrading their capacity.
