Commander of Police Force holds seminar for students of Halhale College of Business and Economics

Col. Mehari Tsegai, Commander of the Eritrean Police Force, has conducted seminar for students of Halahale College of Business and Economics pertaining to the  enhancement of the role of higher education institutions in the prevention of crime.

Halhale, 09 April 2015 – Col. Mehari Tsegai, Commander of the Eritrean Police Force, has conducted seminar for students of Halahale College of Business and Economics pertaining to the  enhancement of the role of higher education institutions in the prevention of crime.   He explained that the mission of the police is to nurture law-abiding citizenry and the supremacy of the rule of law. Col. Mehari also underscored the significance of keeping intact societal values as regards crime prevention. In this connection, he called on the general public to play active role in endeavors to ensure the prevalence of peace and stability.

The Police Commander underlined the impact of good discipline and maintenance of ethical norms towards reducing instances of crime.  He further called on higher education students to raise awareness regarding law and sustain cooperation with the Police Force. Moreover, Col. Mehari indicated that every member of the society could collaborate with the Police through dialing 113 mobile phone and 911 household phone free lines in case he/she deems it imperative.

Meanwhile, Col. Mehari held a similar seminar for about 450 students in the College of Marine Science on April 4.
