Hagaz, 10 April 2015 – At an assessment meeting concerning health activities in Hagaz town, a call has been made on the community in general and Aarea administrators in particular to reinforce role in endeavors to promote health wellbeing in Anseba region.
In the meeting attended by health personnel, sub-zonal and Area administrators, as well as heads of line ministries, discussions were conducted focusing on the coverage of vaccination service, ensuring mother and child wellbeing, the avoidance of harmful customary practices, VCT service, preventing communicable and non-communicable diseases, besides community-led sensitization campaign.
Dr. Kesetebirhan Solomon, head of the Health Ministry’s branch in the region, called on the community to step up participation cooperation with health personnel for more achievements.
The Administrator of Hagaz sub-zone, Ms. Amana Haj, explained that persistent endeavors are being made to promote public health through expanding and upgrading service. The participants of the meeting put forth views on issues pertaining to the putting in place of pregnant mothers’ waiting room, repairing solar panel energy supply and upgrading Hagaz Community Hospital.
