National Bank introduces new cheque system for individual citizens

The National Bank has introduced a new cheque system enabling individual nationals (non-traders) to become beneficiaries of current account, disclosed Mr. Kibreab Woldemariam, Administrator of the Bank.

Asmara, 11 May 2015 – The National Bank has introduced a new cheque system enabling individual nationals (non-traders) to become beneficiaries of current account, disclosed Mr. Kibreab Woldemariam, Administrator of the Bank.

He explained that up to now cheque system was confined to nationals holding trade license. The new initiative of the Bank is aimed at promoting the extended practice of the cheque system.
