Central region: Carnival show staged along Asmara main streets

A carnival show representing 16 sub-zones and 8 institutions of the Central region was staged yesterday along the main Harnet and Semaetat Avenues here in the capital.

Asmara, 23 May 2015 – A carnival show representing 16 sub-zones and 8 institutions of the Central region was staged yesterday along the main Harnet and Semaetat Avenues here in the capital.

The pace of development drive over the past 24 years since independence, the values of the Eritrean people and their rebuff to enemy conspiracy, as well as the products of institutions, coupled with lifestyle and tradition of the inhabitants of Serejeka, Gala-Nefhi and Berikh sub-zones featured at the show.

The Administrator of the region, Maj. General Ramadan Osman Awliyai, inaugurated the show along with senior government and PFDJ officials.

Meanwhile, the regional inhabitants have celebrated the Independence anniversary with patriotic zeal. A total of 83 community festivities were organized in Asmara, while over 80 community festivities took place in others areas of the region.
