Development drive in Gash-Barka region benefit the population

The different programs implemented in Gash-Barka region since independence have enabled the citizenry to improve their livelihood.

Barentu, 26 May 2015 – The different programs implemented in Gash-Barka region since independence have enabled the citizenry to improve their livelihood.

The regional Administrator, Mr. Fishaye Haile, explained that the development programs comprise educational and health centres, potable water supply, communication and transportation facilities, in addition to agricultural development undertakings.

In a related report, water reservoirs in Dubarwa sub-zone are making due contribution to agricultural development, in addition to ensuring potable water supply. The Projects to this end include more than 45 large and small water reservoirs.
