Barentu: Workshop on mother and child wellbeing

The task of promoting mother and child wellbeing featured high in the deliberations at a recent workshop in Barentu city.

Barentu, 09 June 2015 – The task of promoting mother and child wellbeing featured high in the deliberations at a recent workshop in Barentu city.

Speaking at the workshop in which Department Heads of the Regional Administration and health personnel took part, Dr. Leul Banteyirga, branch-head of the Health Ministry in Gash-Barka Region, stated that encouraging  achievements were made in reducing mother and child mortality rates during delivery.

The workshop participants were briefed on steady improvements achieved in mother and child care as well as challenges that must be tackled.
