Berikh sub-zone inhabitants engage in public campaign

The inhabitants of 21 villages in Berikh sub-zone have conducted soil and water conservation activities in an areas of 180 hectares.

Asmara, 15 June 2015 – The inhabitants of 21 villages in Berikh sub-zone have conducted soil and water conservation activities in an areas of 180 hectares.

It is known that over 140 hectares have so far been covered through the campaign involving the construction of water catchment schemes and digging holes for tree seedlings. More than 300 thousand tree seedlings will be planted under the scheme.
