Eritrean nationals in the UK hold 15th Festival

Eritrean citizens in the United Kingdom held the 15th Festival in an environment marked by high patriotism and communal solidarity.

 

Asmara, July 29 2015 – Eritrean citizens in the United Kingdom held the 15th Festival in an environment marked by high patriotism and communal solidarity. Mr. Yemane Gebreab, Head of Political Affairs at PFDJ, Ms. Hanna Simon, Eritrea’s Ambassador to France, Eritrean Ambassador to the UK, Mr. Estifanos  Habtemariam, and several foreign guests attended the Festival where bus-loads of Eritreans flocked from several cities in the United Kingdom.

Mr. Yemane Gebreab gave extensive briefings, in a seminar organized on the occasion, focusing on current developments in the Homeland as well as on relevant regional and international issues.  Mr. Yemane elaborated on the substantial investments that the Government of Eritrea was and is making, particularly in the rural areas, to improve the quality of life and promote the GOE’s pronounced objectives of social justice. Eritrean government is making substantial investment towards ensuring social justice and all-round economic progress.   The investment drive continues to gain momentum and the prospects for steady and all-round economic growth remain high, Mr. Yemane emphasized.
