A Chinese medical group, known as the “China-Africa Brightness Action”, is conducting eye surgeries in Eritrea.
Asmara, 28 August 2015- A Chinese medical group, known as the “China-Africa Brightness Action”, is conducting eye surgeries in Eritrea.
Dr. Kahsai Fesehatsion, Birhan Aini Hospital Medical Director, stated that the Chinese medical group has come to Eritrea equipped with modern medical equipment. 300 Eritrean patients will benefit from the surgeries that will be carried out in two weeks of intensive work. The program will further benefit Eritrean professionals in acquiring additional exposure and experience, Dr. Kahsai added.
Dr. Wang Liyu, Director of Chinai-Afria Brightness Action, on her part indicated that the program that has commenced in Eritrea will be extended to other African countries. Dr. Wang underlined that the support programme is part and parcel of China’s multi-layered approach to further consolidate good ties of friendship and cooperation with the African continent.
