Veteran freedom fighter, Yemane Abraham, passes away

Veteran freedom fighter , Mr. Yemane Abraham Bayru, passed away yesterday, September 6, at the age of 61.

Asmara, 7 September 2015 – Veteran freedom fighter , Mr. Yemane Abraham Bayru, passed away yesterday, September 6, at the age of 61.

Mr. Yemane was one of the pioneer freedom fighters joining the EPLF in 1973. He served his people and nation with characteristic devotion, working in various capacities until the time of his death. Funeral service of the late veteran fighter was held today at 4:00 pm at the Patriots Cemetery in Asmara.

Veteran fighter Yemane Abraham is survived by his wife and four children. The Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare expresses deep condolences to the family and friends of the bereaved.
