Asmara, 09 October 2015 – The 4th Congress of Transport and Communications Workers Federation is in progress in Asmara.
In an opening speech, Mr. Tekeste Baire, Secretary General of the National Confederation of Eritrean Workers (NCEW), explained that the Congress is expected to effectively assess tasks accomplished and identify prevailing shortcomings. Likewise, the Chairman of the Transport and Communication Workers Federation, Mr. Mulugeta Fitshasion, stated that raising productivity is vital for ensuring economic progress and that enhanced organizational capacity is essential for achieving the set goals.
Mr. Woldeyesus Elisa, Director General of the Department of Labor at the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare; Mr. Eyasu Woldeslasie, Head of Administration and Finance in the Ministry of Transport and Communication; and, Dr. Toni Locher, President of the Swiss “Suke” Association conveyed messages of solidarity.
