Asmara, 30 October 2015 – The Eritrean Chemical Association (ECA) conducted its 9th congress in Asmara October the 30th.
Mr. Semere Russom, Minister of Education stated, in a keynote address to participants of the Congress, that scientific research and innovation have significant impact on the socio-economic development of a nation. Professionals in different domains are accordingly expected to play a vital role in the national development programs through their respective associations, the Minister underlined. Minister Semere further asserted that the Ministry of Education will not spare efforts to facilitate overall research.
Mr. Haileab Seare, Chairman of the Association, noted that the priorities of the ECA were contributions to chemical education, conducting research, strengthening cooperation with similar association as well as upgrading the skills of members.
Several research findings including alternative energy sources as well as other innovative materials were on display at the site of the Congress.
