Anseba Region: Seminar to raise public awareness

The Police Department in Anseba Region has launched public awareness campaigns in the recent weeks.

Asmara, December 8 2015 – The Police Department in Anseba Region has launched public awareness campaigns in the recent weeks.  The aim of these sensitization programmes is to foster networking and collaboration between the Police and communities in the areas in order to reduce and eliminate the incidence and scope of petty crimes and offenses.

These periodic meetings bring together high school students, parents and other stakeholders.   The Police Department, who routinely launch similar programmes in many parts of the country, assert that these meetings are vital and yield concrete results in much reduced crime rates.
