Higher school enrollment in Shi’eb

The Ministry of Education is sensitizing parents in Shi’eb sub-zone to exert greater efforts to ensure higher enrollment of students.

Asmara, December 8 2015 – The Ministry of Education is sensitizing parents in Shi’eb sub-zone to exert greater efforts to ensure higher enrollment of students.   in Mr. Ali Ahmed, head of the branch office of the Ministry of Education Shi’eb sub-zone stressed the need for the society to enhance role in encouraging students’ participation in school activities. He made the calls during an assessment meeting conducted in the town recently.

In an assessment meeting conducted in Shi’eb, Mr. Ali Ahmed, Head of the Branch Office of the MoE in the area, underlined that nomadic life patterns adversely affect students’ proper education.  The remedy lies in concerted effort by parents, teachers, the community and government as a whole to encourage and create the conditions for higher enrollment that is at par with the national average.

The Administrator of Shi’eb sub-zone, Mr. Mohammed Hamid, re-iterated the commitment of the administration to extend the necessary support to achieve the  agreed objectives.
