A training program on communicable diseases and harmful practices was provided to 120 youth in the Southern Red Sea region.

Asmara, 18 December 2015 – A training program on communicable diseases and harmful practices was provided to 120 youth in the Southern Red Sea region. The training programme focused on health and social hazards that ensue from unprotected sexual practices that may also entail unplanned pregnancies.

Early childhood marriages and FGM practices were other harmful practices with deleterious consequences to educational and other developmental progress of women.  All these hurdles and risks can be avoided through rigorous sensitization campaigns and peer discussions.
