Water Project Inaugurates in Geza Gobo District Area

A water project in Geza Gobo district Mendefera subzone launched by Mrs Tsion Yohannes, an Eritrean teenager residing in U.S.A was inaugurated on December 22nd.

Asmara, 29 December 2015 – A water project in Geza Gobo district Mendefera subzone launched by Mrs Tsion Yohannes, an Eritrean teenager residing in U.S.A was inaugurated on December 22nd.

During the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Misgina Ghebreslase, Director of Development and Water supply in the Ministry of Land, Water and Environment explained that a 32 meters wide water well was dug at a total cost of around 414,000

Mrs Tsion, who contributed more than 90% of the investment, stated that she collected the money from her family, friends, loved ones and other contributors.  She added that she intends to build a fence and install solar panels at the project site in the near future.
