Training provided to MoI staff

The Ministry of Information (MoI) has provided a two-week long training program to staff members from all 6 regions of the country.

 

Asmara, 10 February 2016 -The Ministry of Information (MoI) has provided a two-week long training program to staff members from all 6 regions of the country. The programs are focused on upgrading skills in effective and timely dissemination of information through technological advancements in communication networks.

Training focused mainly on the basics of shooting moving and still pictures, audio and video editing, software applications, digital data networking, and efficient gathering and transferring of news-related materials from various regions of the country to headquarters in Asmara.

During a ceremony related to the training program, it was noted that the training program is part of the ministry’s agenda to upgrade member skills and capacity for increased coverage and programme productions. It was further noted that efforts are underway to connect all corresponding news offices from around the country through networks.

At the conclusion of the program, participants stated that the skills acquired will amply contribute to their effectiveness in news gathering.
