The Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) held a sensitization workshop in Asmara.
Asmara, 13 February 2016 – The Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) held a sensitization workshop in Asmara. The workshop focused on preventing illegal money transfers and the funding of acts of terrorism and piracy.
Addressing the workshop, Ms. Elsa Haile, Director of Regional and International Organizations in the Foreign Ministry, noted Eritrea’s firm policy of combating all facets of terrorist activities and expressed Eritrea’s readiness to work closely with the pertinent bodies within COMESA to achieve set targets.
In the same vein, Ms. Elizabeth Mutunga, Director of Administration of COMESA, commended Eritrea’s efforts to combat illicit acts of money transfer and piracy.
