Independence Torch touring the Southern region

The Independence Torch currently touring in the Southern region for the third week reached Geza-Dingur, Mai- Mine sub-zone, yesterday, 18 March, travelling 99 kilometers.

 

Asmara, 19 March 2016 –  The Independence Torch currently touring in the Southern region for the third week reached Geza-Dingur, Mai- Mine sub-zone, yesterday, 18 March, travelling 99 kilometers. The Independence Torch passed through the town of Adiquala and administrative areas of the sub-zone.

Erina correspondent reported that residents, students and members of the EDF accorded warm welcome as the Independence Torch passed through the town. So far, the torch has travelled 390 kilometers in the Southern region.

Previously the torch travelled 740 kilometers in the Northern Red Sea region and 615kilometers in the Southern Red Sea region.

The Independence Torch will finalize its tour in the Southern region on April 21 at the Molqui sub-zone and will be handed over to the Gash Barka region.
