Ministry of Local Government Holds Quarterly Meeting

The Ministry of Local Government held an assessment meeting on March 26th focusing on the development programs accomplished in the first quarter of this year.

Asmara, 30 March 2016 – The Ministry of Local Government held an assessment meeting on March 26th focusing on the development programs accomplished in the first quarter of this year.

In the meeting that was presided by Mr. Weldenkiel Abraha, Minister of Local Government, regional governors presented detailed briefings on programs accomplished and those being undertaken in various areas in the six regions.

Farmland preparations for the next rainy season, as well as land and water resources management were mapped out taking into account various scenarios of climatic conditions.

The meeting also deliberated on a draft, five-year, Master Plan for a nation-wide forestry program.
