The head of the environmental sanitation in the Anseba region’s Ministry of Health Mr. Berhane Gebrekidan indicated that the prevalence of communicable diseases has significantly reduced.
Keren, 05 April 2016- The head of the environmental sanitation in the Anseba region’s Ministry of Health Mr. Berhane Gebrekidan indicated that the prevalence of communicable diseases has significantly reduced. He made the comment at an environmental sanitation campaigns assessment meeting conducted on 01 March at Adi-Tekelezan.
He further pointed out that the sustainable sanitation awareness raising campaigns have registered encouraging results.
The residents of Adi-Tekelezan said that the lack of sanitation has been the basic cause for the frequency of communicable diseases in their area and that with the increased awareness they have been able to keep their environment clean.
As part of the efforts to ensure environmental sanitation one restroom worth more than 2 million Nakfa has been constructed in Adi-Tekelezan.
