Meetings to reinforce Teaching and learning Process

Meetings aimed at reinforcing teaching and learning process, increasing enrolment of students as well as finding ways towards tackling challenges were held in the sub-zones of Gogne and Mensura.

Barentu, 11 April 2016- Meetings aimed at reinforcing teaching and learning process, increasing enrolment of students as well as finding ways towards tackling challenges were held in the sub-zones of Gogne and Mensura.

Highlighting that there still exist numerous challenges that continue to negatively impact educational output, Mr. Salih Saied, supervisor of educational excellence in Mensura sub-zone, pointed out that an access to basic education has by far been expanded owing to the active involvement of teachers and communities.

Similarly, Mr. Dawed Hammid, head of Education Ministry’s branch in Gogne Sub-zone, explained that the residents of that area have become beneficiaries of educational services in their closest vicinity. Mr. Dawed further called on the parents and communities to play due roles in the efforts being exerted to boost students’ enrolment.

Mr. Ghebreslasie Negash, head of the social services in the Gash-barka Region, on his part said that due attention should be given to the causes for the students’ enrollment decline.
