Social service provision institutions registering encouraging results

The social service provision institutions put in place in the city of Keren are registering encouraging results.

Keren, 13 April 2016- The social service provision institutions put in place in the city of Keren are registering encouraging results. The comment was made by the administrator of Keren Mr. Zerizgi Dawit.

He told Erina that the city has expanded from 8.7 square kilometers to 99 square kilometers. The number of the social service provision institutions has also increased to 2,700 in addition to the newly built modern hotels.

With regards to educational services the administrator indicated that currently there are 18 pre-school, 30 elementary, 12 junior and 4 high schools providing services to more than 27 thousand students. There are also one hospital, 6 health centers, and 1 information center providing health service to the residents.

Regarding transportation service the administrator said that in addition to the min-buses and buses allocated by the government there are 33 privately owned taxis.
