Assembly of the NRS region conducts 13th regular meeting

The Assembly of the Northern Red Sea region conducted its 13th regular meeting from 12 to 13 April in Massawa.

Massawa, 14 April 2016- The Assembly of the Northern Red Sea region conducted its 13th regular meeting from 12 to 13 April in Massawa.

The Chairman of the Assembly Mr. Ibrahim Ali Sheik indicated that the renewed laws, land proclamation and its implementation, agricultural infrastructure, supply of fish and agricultural products, health and education services, maintaining roads, soil and water conservation as well as electricity power supply were some of the implemented programs in the year 2015.

The members of the assembly conducted extensive discussion on the reports presented and passed several recommendations.

The administrator of the region Ms. Tsegereda Woldegergis called on the public to diligently participate in the implementation of the charted out development programs. She also said that the regional administration will tirelessly work to alleviate the existing social service shortages.
