Vegetable farms yielding commendable produce

The vegetable farms in the sub-zone of Afabet are yielding commendable produce and are significantly contributing in the improvement of the livelihoods of the farmers and stabilizing the markets in the area.

Massawa, 15 April 2016- The vegetable farms in the sub-zone of Afabet are yielding commendable produce and are significantly contributing in the improvement of the livelihoods of the farmers and stabilizing the markets in the area. This was disclosed by the head of the Agriculture Ministry branch in the sub-zone Mr. Hagos Gebretensae.

He also indicated that 270 hectares of land is cultivated by individual farmers and that includes vegetables and different types of fruits.
