Yesterday in its second day of the Tour of Eritrea 2016 that covered 117.7 km along the Massawa route, the race concluded with the victory of Eritreans.
Asmara, 18 April 2016 :- Yesterday in its second day of the Tour of Eritrea 2016 that covered 117.7 km along the Massawa route, the race concluded with the victory of Eritreans. In Massawa Circuit, 44 cyclists took part in which it concluded with the triumph of Eritrean cyclists. Tesfom Ogbamariam from the National team stood first in 2 hours, 48 minutes and 24 seconds, Yonatan Hailu from Salina cycling team stood second and Meron Teshome a member of the Bike-Aid from Germany stood third lagging behind the second winner in 6 seconds.
In yesterday’s race, the cyclists traveled for around 42 km per hour and arrived at the finishing line in different levels ranging from 3rd to 23rd stages. It is to be recalled that in the 1st stage ‘Fenkil Challenge’ Tour of Eritrea 2016 that extended from Foro to Ghindae route, Eritreans came out victorious ranging from 1st to 3rd rank. A total of 40 cyclists from a number of cycling teams from Eritrea, Rwanda, Sudan, Egypt, Italy and Germany are participating in this year’s Tour of Eritrea.
