Massawa, 26 April 2016- A meeting aimed at supporting families of the fallen heroes was held in Foro, Sub-zone.
In the meeting that was held with heads of various institutions, residents as well as students of the sub-zone, Mr. Ibrahim Omar, head of MLHW branch, noted that the families of fallen heroes need moral and social assistance apart from the usual monetary support.
Pointing out that the benevolence of communities in supporting families of fallen heroes and generally to those economically vulnerable and disabled nationals has been making a difference, Mr. Ibrahim reminded the residents to reinforce their role in an organized manner.
Similarly, Mr. Dawit Embaye, administrator of the Foro sub-zone, underlined that charted out development programs would not be easily implemented without active involvement of the communities. Mr. Dawit further called on the communities to play due role in all efforts that have been exerted to assist the families of martyrs and disabled nationals.
The participants of the meeting on their part reiterated readiness to live up to the expectations in all support schemes and suggested for the continuation of savings and micro credit programs to that end.
