The Chairperson of the National Union of Eritrean Women (NUEW) Ms. Tekea Tesfamichael said that the Eritrean women have exceptional place in the history of resistance and development of the country.
Assab, 27 April 2016- The Chairperson of the National Union of Eritrean Women (NUEW) Ms. Tekea Tesfamichael said that the Eritrean women have exceptional place in the history of resistance and development of the country. She made the comment at a seminar she conducted to women in the port city of Assab.
Ms. Tekea reiterated that the Eritrean women had an important role in the struggle for independence and in safeguarding the sovereignty of the country. She also called on the young generation to burnish the great history with development and make use the educational opportunities they are being provided.
The participants on their part expressed readiness to back up the national development programs and called for the sustainability of such seminars.
