Veteran fighter Okbatsion Gebrekidan passes away
The veteran fighter Okbatsion Gebrekidan passed away on 01 May at the age of 85 following illness.
Asmara, 02 May 2016- The veteran fighter Okbatsion Gebrekidan passed away on 01 May at the age of 85 following illness.
The late veteran fighter joined the ELF on 31 May 1970 and in January 1973 the Popular Forces. The veteran fighter served his people and country until 1993 in different capacities.
He was demobilized from the army due to old age in 1994.
The veteran fighter is survived by his wife and seven children.
Funereal service of the late veteran fighter will be held on 03 May at mid day at the Asmara Martyrs Cemetery.
