The Sudanese Ophthalmologists group ‘Albeser’ has conducted eye surgery for 400 patients in Asmara for four consecutive days beginning from May 3rd.
Asmara, 09 May 2016 – The Sudanese Ophthalmologists group ‘Albeser’ has conducted eye surgery for 400 patients in Asmara for four consecutive days beginning from May 3rd.
Head of the group, Dr. Isam Segid told Erina that in addition to the eye surgeries they conducted at Berhan-Aini Referral Hospital, they have conducted ophthalmologic diagnosis for over 5000 people with sight disabilities and provided medicines and eyeglasses.
Dr. Abubeda Muktar expressed satisfaction for the conducive atmosphere created for them at the hospital to successfully accomplish their tasks at a given time.
Dr. Eyob Frezghy who has been working with the Sudanese doctors pointed out that such cooperation plays a pivotal role in creating a solid ground for Eritrean doctors to obtain and share experiences from the Sudanese physicians.
It’s to be recalled that the Sudanese ‘Albeser’ Ophthalmologists group have conducted similar surgeries in Massawa hospital from May 9-19 of this year.
