Pictorial exhibition opens

A pictorial exhibition organized by the  National Association of  Eritrean War Disabled Veterans (NAEWDV) in connection with the Silver Jubilee of Independence Day was opened on 18 May at the central office of the association.

Asmara, 19 May 2016- A pictorial exhibition organized by the National Association of  Eritrean War Disabled Veterans (NAEWDV) in connection with the Silver Jubilee of Independence Day was opened on 18 May at the central office of the association.

The exhibition comprises the activities the war disabled veteran fighters were conducting during the armed struggle, their undertakings after independence to develop themselves and become self supportive as well as the support they received from Diaspora branch offices.

The exhibition was officially opened by the Minister of Labor and Human Welfare, Mr. Kahsai Gebrehiwet. In the speech he delivered at the occasion, the Minister indicated that the EPLF was giving special attention to the war disabled during the armed struggle and after independence the Government has been providing the necessary support to enable them become self supportive and productive members of the society.

The Chairman of the association, Mr. Gebrebrhan Eyasu on his part commended the support the Government has been providing to the war disabled veterans in their endeavors to improve their livelihoods. He also said that with the vocational training they received many war disabled veterans have become successful and are leading stable life with their families.

The exhibition will open until 20 May.
