A carnival show in the Central region staged in connection with the Silver Jubilee Independence Day anniversary was held in Asmara on 22 May with great fervor.
Asmara, 23 May 2016- A carnival show in the Central region staged in connection with the Silver Jubilee Independence Day anniversary was held in Asmara on 22 May with great fervor. It was officially opened by Major General Ramadan Osman Awelyai, the regional Governor.
Under the banner “Quarter Century of Resilience and Development”, the carnival was organized by 13 administrative areas of the Central region.
The carnival depicted the overall momentum of national development endeavors, the resolute rebuff of the Eritrean people and the Defense Forces, the role and contribution of Eritrean women as well as the unity and diversity of the Eritrean people as a whole, as well as the historical and the historical and cultural heritages of the nation.
A number of students, teachers and artists as well as national companies, including Segen, Bidho, Bademe, ASBECO and Red Sea Construction companies, BISHA Mining Company, Eritel and Asmara Flowers played a major role in adding color to the event.
The carnival has received wide acclamation and admiration by Asmara city residents, Eritrean nationals from the Diaspora and foreigners.
