Pictorial Exhibition organized by the NUEW

A pictorial exhibition organized by the National Union of Eritrean Women (NUEW) in connection with the Silver Jubilee Independence Day anniversary was held on May 20.

Asmara, 23 May 2016- A pictorial exhibition organized by the National Union of Eritrean Women (NUEW) in connection with the Silver Jubilee Independence Day anniversary was held on May 20.

The Exhibition was officially opened by Mr. Woldemicael Abraha, Minister of Local Government.

The objective of the exhibition aimed at sheding light on the overall role Eritrean women played during the armed struggle for independence; the efforts made to enable women become self supportive and the support  extended by the Diaspora branches in establishing training centres in different parts of the country.

Speaking on the occasion, Ms, Fatima Abdelrahman, head of research and information at NUEW Central office, said that Eritrean women have made significant contribution in the nation-building process.

The exhibition would remain open until the 30th of May.
