Financial support to families of martyrs

The branch office of the Ministry of Labour and Human Welfare in Makel region disclosed that over 1 billion Nacfa has been extended to Martyr families from 2004 to 2015.

 

Asmara, 30 May 2016 – The branch office of the Ministry of Labour and Human Welfare in Makel region disclosed that over 1 billion Nacfa has been extended to Martyr families from 2004 to 2015.

Besides the monthly payments made to Martyr families by the Government, supports made by Eritreans living inside the country and abroad have also been extended to the families on time, Mr. Sium Oqbamichael, head of Social Security department at the branch office said.

Moreover, disadvantaged nationals including war disabled veterans have become beneficiaries of the micro credit and saving programs extended by the Makel branch office, according to Mr. Fitsum Melake, head of the micro credit and saving program in the region.
