Youth Workers’ Week Conducted in Barentu Subzone

Youth Workers’ Week has been conducted in Barentu sub-zone in connection with the Silver Jubilee Independence Day anniversary.

Barentu, 30 May 2016- Youth Workers’ Week has been conducted in Barentu sub-zone in connection with the Silver Jubilee Independence Day anniversary.

In a speech he delivered during the event, Mr. Simret Ghebremedhin chairman of the Youth Workers organization branch indicated that the event that included sports and general knowledge competitions as well as seminars was part of the ongoing Silver Jubilee Independence Day celebrations nationwide.

The head of the NUEYS branch in the region, Mr. Ghide Sequ’ar underlined that youth organization has an important role to play in the nation building efforts and expressed conviction that the youth workers will live up to expectations.

The work manager of the Gash Barka region, Mr. Omer Mohammed called on the youth workers to reinforce organization, identify their talents and strengthen participation in the national development programs.

Winners of the sports and educational competitions received awards.
