The residents of Dogmebiet and Behnuna administrative areas in the Areza Sub-zone have renovated a 40 km long dirt road that connects their villages with the Mendefera-Areza main route.
Mendefera, 16 June 2016- The residents of Dogmebiet and Behnuna administrative areas in the Areza Sub-zone have renovated a 40 km long dirt road that connects their villages with the Mendefera-Areza main route.
The dirt road that passes through ragged terrain has been creating transportation challenges particularly during the rainy season.
According to Mr. Tekle Ghebrezgabhier, administrator of Dogmebiet, the dirt road was built by the residents of the administrative areas in 1998 with the involvement of the Government in building bridges.
Mr. Andemeskel Adhanom, administrator of the Areza Sub-zone, on his part said that the residents of the two administrative areas are engaged in renovation of the road during every rainy season and are looking for a lasting solution.
