Monetary and material support to war disabled veterans

The National Association of Eritrean War Disabled Veterans (NAEWDV) received over 136 thousand Nakfa and medical equipment assistance from Eritrean living abroad.

Asmara, 27 June 2016- The National Association of Eritrean War Disabled Veterans (NAEWDV) received over 136 thousand Nakfa and medical equipment assistance from Eritrean living abroad. The donation was handed over to the administrator of the Denden camp of the war disabled veteran fighters.

Administrator of the War Disabled Veteran Fighters at Denden Camp, Mr. Yemane Awa’lom expressed gratitude for the assistance extended to the war disabled veteran fighters and pointed out that the assistance made attests to the value the Eritrean people give to their war disabled veterans.

Meanwhile, Eritreans residing in the U.S and Canada extended material assistance for the visually and hearing impaired nationals.

Present during the handing over ceremony were, Mr. Semere Rusom, the Minister of Education, Professor Tadese Mehari, Chairman of the Eritrean Higher Educational Commission as well as branch heads at the Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare.
