Monetary Assistance to Families of Martyrs

Benevolent individuals in Barentu and the residents of Sosona administrative area have donated Nakfa 137,000 towards assisting families of fallen heroes.

Barentu, 29 June 2016 – Benevolent individuals in Barentu and the residents of Sosona administrative area have donated Nakfa 137,000 towards assisting families of fallen heroes.

Around 123,000 of the total sum has been distributed to 41 families of martyrs in Barentu. Each family has received 3,000 Nakfa while the rest 14,000 was given to families of fallen heroes in Sosona administrative area.

Mr. Awrelyo Jakomino, administrator of Barentu Sub-zone, said that all the initiatives that have been taken to assist families of martyrs attest the Eritrean people are giving due respect to their fallen heroes and their families. Such initiatives would continue in a reinforced manner, Mr. Awrelyo added.
