Water supply project put in place in Damba

The residents of the Damba administrative area, Dekemhare sub-zone, have become beneficiaries of potable water supply.

 

Dekemhare, 18 July 2016- The residents of the Damba administrative area, Dekemhare sub-zone, have become beneficiaries of potable water supply.

The project worth of 4 million Nakfa includes drilling a water hole, laying 2 k.m. water pipe line, solar energy as well as 4 water distribution centers.

Eng. Eyob Habte, the project coordinator, indicated that 1,700 residents of the Damba administrative area have become beneficiaries from the project. He also said that training has been given to the residents on water management.

The residents expressed satisfaction for having water supply at their backyard and that will save them from travelling a long distance to fetch water.

Damba is located 35 kilometres south from Asmara and is one from the 18 administrative areas in the Dekemhare sub-zone.
