Mr. Osman Saleh, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, expressed the Eritrean government’s readiness to work hard towards promoting the constructive engagements and coordination amongst the government and with the local and international scholars as it is the basis for advancing common understanding.

Asmara, 25 July 2016- Mr. Osman Saleh, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, expressed the Eritrean government’s readiness to work hard towards promoting the constructive engagements and coordination amongst the government and with the local and international scholars as it is the basis for advancing common understanding.

Minister Osman made the remarks on 22nd of July, at the Gala Dinner he hosted at Asmara Palace Hotel for the participants of the International Conference on Eritrean Studies. 
Expressing conviction that the studies and research papers presented during the conference would bring about a viable opportunity to reflect the exact and correct image of Eritrea, Minister Osman reinvigorated that the conference would also bring a rewarding outcome in portraying the diplomatic, political and information achievements Eritrea has registered as well as the multi-faceted development endeavors recorded under the principle of self reliance.

Likewise, Ms. Christine N. Umutoni, UN Country Resident Representative pointed out that the study and research papers presented at the conference would play a key role in enriching the participants’ awareness about Eritrea’s pace of overall development and in altering the wrong perception some elements have towards Eritrea.

Mrs. Josephine also expressed appreciation to the developmental achievements Eritrea scored in various sectors and on its active engagements with its stakeholders in fully implementing the mapped out development programs in the country.
